Privacy Policy

FirstCenturyLens is a small, independent tool. This policy explains plainly what data is collected, why, and how it's handled.

01

The short version

FirstCenturyLens does not sell your data. It does not run advertising. The only personal information collected is your email address if you choose to sign up for updates — and you can unsubscribe at any time.

The full policy below explains this in detail, but that is the substance of it.

02

Who we are

FirstCenturyLens is an independent project operated by John (contact via the contact page). It is not a company. It is not affiliated with any church, denomination, publishing house, or theological institution.

The site is hosted on Vercel and the domain is registered privately.

Email — MailerLite

If you choose to enter your email address in the tool or on the site, it is stored with MailerLite, an email marketing platform. Emails from FirstCenturyLens may include:

We won't email you constantly — only when there's something worth saying. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

05

Contact form — Formspree

The contact form on this site is handled by Formspree, a form processing service. When you submit a message, your name, email address, and message content are transmitted to Formspree and forwarded to the site owner.

06

Browser storage (localStorage)

FirstCenturyLens stores two small pieces of information in your browser's localStorage — not on any server:

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

07

Cookies

FirstCenturyLens does not set any cookies directly. Vercel (the hosting provider) may set technical cookies necessary for site delivery. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

08

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Australia, you have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information.

To exercise any of these rights, or to request that your email be removed from the mailing list, use the contact form or unsubscribe directly via any email you receive.
